Any tips on getting them to rise?

The Bunnymen enjoy home-baked cookies and the twenty-something daughters of fans. You should send them both...

I can give you my tips, but notice my VT moniker is not Paula Deen. Here are Miss Malbert's Tips for Tasty Cookies that will rise like a phoenix from the ashes:

1) I always add a smidgen more baking soda than requires and

2) Make sure the dough is cold when you put it on the tray. Put it in the fridge for a few minutes before baking, and also refrigerate the dough in between bakings. None of that room temperature stuff.

Mr. noname, aka the male Betty Crocker, would agree with you here. I baked cookies last week that tasted good but seemed to have too much fat in them and they spread very thin while baking. I'm better in a laboratory.

Still hawking that PhD story girlwithnoname?
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

You forgot to ultracentrifuge the batter first. Rookie mistake.

When did I say anything about a PhD? I don't even know what PhD stands for.

You're asking for trouble offering us that one on a plate.

You must have heard of the grad student comic strip Piled Higher and Deeper. Try again. ;-)
