Notable for the fact that comedian and actor, Hugh Laurie, now world famous but then relatively unknown, appeared during 'Villiers Terrace' dressed as Hamlet (complete with skull of Yorick) and recited the song in a mock Shakesperian actors voice.

it was me myself, yours truly, who uploaded this after lovingly encoding from a tape i bought just a few weeks after the gig. i was always after the evening concert but never found one - i guess the recordist was the only bootlegger in attendance.

as for the gig, i didn't go, even though i lived about 15 miles away - it sold out very quickly and i did not know about the afternoon show [no internet, etc, in those days, just the n.m.e. and word of mouth.

i was gutted to find afterwards that tickets were available on the day :p[

I would submit that this was likely a third-person account, or an account based on listenings of the bootleg recordings.

I doubt Chris was in the UK in 1983
