Agree VB. I can't stand his cheesy David Brent grin anymore since I watched him and Stephen Merchant doing half a dozen interviews on TV and radio a few years back using scripted "gags". It was obviously scripted as every single interview had exactly the same answers. Even with Gervais laughing in exactly the same places, like he was telling somebody something they'd never heard before.

I'm going to start the official "buy Gervais a one way ticket to America" campaign. You seem to like him, so you can have him permanently.

Not really a four letter word, more like two words with the first starting with "f" and the other "o". Ricky Gervais has done two popular and groundbreaking shows in the UK, The Office eight years ago and Extras four years ago. Nothing really since then. It's mostly been cameos in shite movies as the David Brent show goes Stateside, other than co-writing the well-received movie Cemetery Junction.

Gervais is yesterday's news only highlighted by British tabloids if he says something that might piss Americans off. Gervais will probably return to our screens one day to milk The Office for a Christmas special, either that or reform his 80s synth band and go on a nationwide tour that nobody will turn up to. "Comedians" have a short shelf life over here, same with musicians, ask Les Dennis and Mac - we get bored easily. Actually, I'm bored now.
