Not really. However paltry the income from what they're doing now, going it alone would bring in less dosh.

That said, I hope they don't ever do that! And judging by that frosty message from mgmt about such a career capper a while back, ain't gonna happen anytime soon. I hope not. The Furs have done that and it somehow cheapens the night. Plus you have to share the venue with annoying Alarm, Fixx and ABC fansBetter they go it alone, but perhaps better gauge venue size so they can make a few bucks, so Sarge doesn't have to stock shelves at Safeway. And since it's all about me, don't wait another three years to play L.A., guys! How 'bout Coachella 2010?

However, that was a four-way partnership + Bill Drummond, not two guys and a bunch of hired guns. Could they still pull it off today? I'd give it a listen if they tried.
As to the kids, never discount what they might pick up on. Went to my first Buzzcocks show in years a few years ago and was stunned to see all the teens and tweens there. All it took was the Buzzers playing the Warped tour, I guess, to widen their fan base. Tho I don't advocate that for the Bunnymen ... there's no way I'd go stand in a hot parking lot somewhere to see them do a 30-minute set!
