Lost me for a bit - is this what it is like trying to follow Americans talk?
Anyway - searched Red Deer Label. Their myspace has a good cross section of their bands.

Good stuff.
This is why I get a little tired of the idea "music sucks today." We always say that.
It was hard to find music if you were choosy twenty years ago because it was harder for bands to get into a studio and cassette tapes, word of mouth, going to shows and college radio stations were pretty much the few ways of finding out.
Now, it has gone the other way. There is so much out there - good and bad - and so easy for music to make it to the net or itunes that it takes forever to dig through. Finding websites and zooming through podcasts to hears songs, trying to judge from a cruddy live video or 1o second snippet on itunes -
Finding music you like when you are choosy is always a pain in the neck.
