It's a mix of Candleland, Mysterio, Slideling and the Grey Album
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

It should be sealed in a lead case and sunk to the bottom of the ocean. What you created is an abomination, pure and simple.

Dunno what the story is. I just know they're not part of a big management firm. That shit wouldn't fly with a big company.

It's either that or pierce my own ear drums.

The sad part is that Pete and Peasy are better than the Paul Toogood years. I guess that's not saying much.

Isn't Paul Toogood one of the reasons Les ended up quitting? I know there were other reasons why he went but I'm sure this chancer was a contributing factor.

Frank The Bunny wrote:I don't think that's true. They're not of any larger conglomerate. Bunnymen's management are Peter Byrne & Peasy. Period.

I think thats correct. Ages ago it wa announced that they were forming a management company - porcupine management - and that this was basically pete n peasy though no doubt mac and will are the main men with pnp doing the day to day whilst the two impressarios smoke huge cigars whilst lazily watching the mersey slip by. If you look up porcupine management (yes its quiet here at Cherry Management Inc) the addressis Parr Street and its well known that pete and peasy are the effective managers of the studio - obviously its a very big tea pot that need two of them to push it around).

If you search for oxygen management you get a music management cxompany with a sohoi address and two links - an email and one saying 'send you mp3s here' - both of which open an email client and presumably its up to you to work out how to attach your file.

In terms of management its obviously mac and will, and presumably mainly mac but who knows, who decides things and the other two do all the calling and running around to make things happen. As far as toogood is concerned its on the record that will threatened to quit after what are you.... unless he went, and that was that. Whether thats part of them leaving London I dont know but at the time it was assumed that they were giong tits up having put all their dwindling resources into New Order.

Frank The Bunny wrote: I don't know what sort of paranoid delusion they're under that make them so protective of Mac & Will, but... whatever.

ha ha, probably a wealth of experience that suggests caution and that either way they'll get it in the ear. THat they only thing they know is that they dont know what he's going to do next. Still, must be preferable t getting a proper job. There must be a good novel somewhere about a failed pop star surrounding himself with yes men who still doesn't realise that, well, you know, it never quite happened. If not.... look out in your book shops this christmas.

Will's statement at the time was someting like 'it was definitely a case of me [toogood] and my mate Mac are making a record' and that he was sidelined and spent most of his time in a tent (which has a comedy element to it you've got to admit - so sod the book, lets make it a play for TV, I vote Timothy Spall to play Will, not sure about Mac though). Les left apparently due to a combination of just having lost his mother and a messy divorce/custody case, they were all working in different rooms and MAc had writen all the songs so royalty wise it was looking a bit grim for the boys in the band. Thats still a better album - productionwise - than Siberia I'd say even though I dont like about a third of it. Siberia still comes across as loads of bits and pieces sewn together and no reall ygood songs.

Mr. Brian, I find that offensive.

If it weren't for Will's little squall in the middle that song would be even more boring than Parthenon Drive.

Which gives me an idea...

King Of Kings wrote:I Lent the Bunnymen Management over 100 promotional photographs the kind that were used for publicity in magazines the 80’s . I must admit at this point I had told them about them and offered to lend them. Yes in truth I was hoping for some reward.

They promised me and a friend a Back Stage tour and pass for the Echo Arena (Ocean Rain Gig). I turned up and they failed to deliver and made some excuse that they were too busy.

They then promised me and a friend a tour of Parr Street Recording Studios (Liverpool) including a look at all the gold disc’s and other memorabilia. I turned up and they failed to deliver and were’nt even there but had left my stuff at reception.

As a thank you they gave me a t shirt and a couple of greatest hits CD’s and a mug. Nice token but I already had them.

They had my Photos for four months and promised to return them every time I asked for them back, and also said that Mac and Will would sign some for me.

Eventually I had to pick them up myself when I went to Liverpool to se Mac’s solo in March. Guess ,what no signed Photos.

So I went to the sound check, where the management said that Mac was in a bad mood and not to hassle him. On the contrary Mac saw me said hello and asked how it was going and then signed half a dozen photos for me and some other people NO PROBLEM

It’s the Management in my opinion that fail the new bunnymen

Such selfless actions! Imagine the Kudos you could have had going backstage at the OR gig, you would have had about fifty bragging threads out of that.
