On March 26th Liverpool Bands The La's, The Farm and Echo & The Bunnymen will release 'The Fields of Anfield Road' to coincide with the 20th anniversary of the Hillsborough Tragedy . It will be available from record shops and via download from the interweb.
John Power- The La's/Cast, Peter Hooton- The Farm, Nick Kilroe- Echo and The Bunnymen, Mick Head- Shack/The Pale Fountains and Robert Taylor, The Troubadors, have recorded a version of 'Fields of Anfield Road' for the 20th Anniversary of Hillsborough, produced by Ken Nelson-Coldplay, Badly Drawn Boy etc. The 4 track CD will also include a version of 'Fields...' by James Walsh Starsailor, 'Heart as Big as Liverpool' by Pete Wylie and 'Turning the Town Red' by Elvis Costello. All proceeds to Hillsborough Families Support Group. It will be avalable to download via Itunes from 6th April, and at Liverpool Football Club shop.
