Okay.

AGAIN: I was in a state of bliss when I quickly wrote a review on the forums & mailing list.
Ian told me this little thing and it made me feel very excited, so I presented it in the form of a very small teaser.
This teaser was taken out of context so I cared to elaborate a little. I wrote my own reasoning for not revealing the whole truth but obviously some of you can't deal with a little suspense.

Seriously, shut up with your 'TELL ME ALL YOU KNOW NOW' attitude and your mocking of my reasoning. Responses like Brian's and Dave's make me feel sorry for posting my review in the first place.

Ah come on I was just going with the flow and having some fun. Lighten up. I was one of the first people to thank you for the review. It's the first time in a while I've been excited about the upcoming shows.

So anyway, the show was bootlegged and if you have an account on dimeadozen, it is available as a torrent, the notes and comments indicate it is a pretty good recording.. http://www.dimeadozen.org/torrents-deta ... ?id=208850

There's a bunch of differing quality YouTubes too if you search for "Bunnymen tivoli"

Personally, I cannot deal with the suspense. I haven't slept since the initial post.

That's a very generous comment on the state of Mr. McCulloch's vocal ability.

I've just listened to some of this - Forgettable...er, Forgotten Fields as well as Rescue and Villiers Terrace. His voice croaks and cracks, and try as he might he can't sustain the high notes. As good as ever, his voice ain't. As good as it's been lately? Maybe.

But thank you for the review, and the short-lived optimism.

And Brian - thanks for the link

Who cares about ANY news, exciting or otherwise, unless the news has something to do with Chris Martin??

You're right, and I understand the 'go with the flow' thing - sorry on my part for being snappy against you.
Thanks for the link! I'll be sure to check it out first thing when I'm behind my own PC again.

(I won't relieve withahip of his insomnia though...)

Frank - I can't remember having heard any bad cracks and croaks or lacks of sustenance in his voice. His heyday voice is obviously different from his mid-'80s voice, however I personally prefer his current singing so I tend to be very positive and generous there. In this sense it's true that it's "as good as it's been lately" and not on the same scale as what most people will regard his all time high.

perhaps he should take advice from the great, ahem, liam gallagher, speaking to the great, ahem, nme:

Gallagher also said that he was cutting out the partying and concentrating on his fitness ahead of the band's return.

He said: "Last week me voice was a bag o'shite, I had to have a word with meself. I want this to be a success, I want this to be great, I thought 'I'm going to have to tone it down a bit'. Load of big fat lines, load of cigarettes, staying up late talking the same shit you talked the night before and the night before that, that's not good for it (his voice). When it's good, no one can touch me, And when it's bad, it's a bit better than Pete Doherty's."

"It's not a big deal. I've got willpower. I'm a good drinker, but it's dominoes, isn't it? Get pissed, smoke, do the other.."

Gallagher's vocal style are probably helped by too many cigs, drugs and alcohol (bit like whatshisname out of the Stereophonics). Mac indeed should take advice from the great... ahem... Liam. Only problem now is that Mr McCulloch damaged his vocal chords by doing that and all the best behaviour in the world probably wouldn't make much of a difference now.

From what little I read, it seems that the sort of damage done by smoking really can be remediated quite a bit. Combined with vocal training, the prospects could be quite good.

I guess I am a no-good leecher. My share ratio dropped too much on dimeadozen so know I am unable to download this from their trackers. The only way to fix the share ratio is too upload a show in lossless format like flac or re-seed one you've downloaded. The problem is I don't keep those lossless flac files around that dimeadozen likes to use and they only accept lossless formats like flac and not mp3.

If someone can get me the flac files from this download I can seed them and repair my ratio for future use..or...if someone already has the show converted to mp3 that would do, but I guess I'd like to repair my share ratio...Help a brutha out...?

The show is available on dimeadozen.org's torrent site that has bootlegs but you need a login to use their services. They only allow a certain number of logins so it's not as easy as just signing up again and even still they tgrack by IP I am sure. I have a login but you have to maintain a certain ration to be able to download. In other words you can't just download, you have to keep sharing some stuff which I did not do apparently.
