Maybe I can help you out . . .I bought the macbook for music recording applications but was running XP on it. I was having headache after headache for the sake of one piece of software.
I ditched XP - took it off the computer - and once I started running Leopard, EVERYTHING has run smooth as silk. The computer finds midi settings automatically, airport automatically locates networks and rates their strength, the applications are getting easier to use and the ones I need from Windows (excel, power point, word) are there. And there are a lot of very simple things (clock/weather/date button, safari streamlined browser, very clear and accurate drag and drop) that making using this a breeze.
The music app. virtual synths, samples and so on are cross platform. I am adding the iMac for music and using my desktop for the internet.
So my question is - Would you shell out the extra cash for the Time Capsule over the Airport Extreme?
