The old ones are always the best.

So are the jokes.
Mr. Brian, I find that offensive.

Scouser's inability to se others' point of view is rather grating.

Bunnymen Play 30th Anniversary Gig
By Peter Kimmich: 2008-04-02 02:09:06

People love to root for the underdog. People don’t however, tend to root for famed Liverpool act Echo and the Bunnymen – usually because those people are too busy purchasing tickets to other surviving ‘80s acts like the Cure or U2. This neglect is justified, though, because there is something about Echo and the Bunnymen that catapults them beyond their underdog status. Maybe it’s front man Ian McCulloch. With endless disregard for the health of his own vocal chords, he vehemently sucks down cigarette after cigarette; then there’s the fact that he never, ever removes his impenetrable black shades. McCulloch makes it very clear to the rest of us that he doesn’t give a fuck (and he’s openly admitted that he hates Bono). Or maybe it’s “The Killing Moon,” which has not only been covered by indie rock scholars Pavement, but has also appeared in Donnie Darko and the sexy Angelina Jolie flick Gia. It might be that even though McCulloch’s voice has deteriorated from a smooth, proud siren’s call to a course, American-accented growl, he still throws it out over the crowd like it’s made of silk – again owing to his not giving a fuck.

Whatever it is about Echo and the Bunnymen, their announcement of a massive 30th anniversary show at Liverpool’s appropriately titled Echo Arena on November 28th fills me with a yearning for the green shores of the angular country, bad food and weather be damned. Accompanied by an orchestra, the band will become the first hometown act to headline the relatively new venue as they “chill” their way through their classic 1984 album Ocean Rain, Music-News reported Tuesday. The band will also be choosing other select numbers from their prestigious catalogue, including, I would hope, their cover of “People Are Strange,” which in my opinion overshadows the original track by the Doors.

If you have never partaken, it comes highly recommended...

People love to root for the underdog.

And then knock them down.

Wasn't he proud to fall?

Wish Kerr had fallen off the stage prancing around it.[/right]
