Would it have been better if Mac had died after Ocean Rain?

General discussion about the band, live shows, its recordings or bootlegs, etc. You can buy, sell or trade here. You can even post eBay links. If it's about the Bunnymen, it goes here.

Erm....... Scouser

Not an original idea.......... you trying to be Bill Drummond, after all he did write the song "Julian Cope Is Dead" where he advises Copey to top himself so that the Teardrops could become massive ...........

What a tune. They stopped playing it down the Wolves because 25000 people (incl me of course)used to sing "F*ck off West Brom, the Wolves!" to the main melody.Spoilsports.Play up Pompey,Pompey play up.I'll commit suicide if the Albion win the FA cup.

Never understood why Wolves played it in the first place.

Censorship again. Fottball censorship again. Its only a game.

Doubt they'll win it - defence is too weak.

Good luck in the play offs :surprised:

What a game against Charlton last night. This Sylvan Ebanks-Blake could be the real deal.Released by one A Ferguson.Sad thing is I went to my local in Shirley,Brum to watch the game. They put it on one telly whilst the other four understandably showed Man U v Aston Villa.Turns out there were more phoney Man U fans in the pub than Villa fans.Pathetic -all claiming to be 'life-long Mancunians'.I hate Utd.

How ironic that a post speculating on the death of Ian McCulloch to preserve him in time like a Jim Morrison is now a topic about Ian McCulloch's other passion, football. At least as an American, I *think* that's what Dave is talking about!

Correct.I see my Bunnymen/Wolves obsessions as being quite similar. Both had glory years but now havnt got a place in the top flight and both still command decent crowds of people who like to moan.My priorities during each year are family/Wolves/Bunnymen but not necessarily in that order!

I was gonna say the same thing - massive match - Albion could only manage a draw there GF, the second goal was premiership clash and the last one was a killer for Charlotn - why so much injury time. Wolves seem set for play-offs and Albion may escape. Mowbray seems pretty gung-ho.

Footy plays a much less part of my life. Though value for money is probably with going to see Bunnymen. They are much more important than the footy and more fun.

I have to admit it the dingles/tatties actually looked good.

Scouser makes a very valid point. Ian would have been another Ian.

well, if we were going to go down this route its as well to get the specifics right, in order to maximise the benfit he should have died, rather tragically (goes without saying really) after the recording but just before the realease - on the eve of great things. Obviously one of the benefits is that Pete would not have felt the need to bugger off to the US would probably not have been on his bike at that precise time and place, so he'd still be here. But would it be a fair swap?
