I thought Hutchence was auto-erotic asphyxiation gone wrong.

He semi tried to kill himself (cut his wrists, but rang for an ambulance). Then they put him in a mental hospital. He didnt try it again.

He actually "died" after an overdose (Speedball I believe) - he had the injection of adrenelin to the heart Pulp Fiction style. Then he OD'd again. Twice.

Then he got clean. The cleanest he's been. He's taken the fall, put an end to it all, changed his routine.

Would make a good song that.
Mr. Brian, I find that offensive.

Scouser's inability to se others' point of view is rather grating.

Seeing him interviewed shortly after (not sure if it was after his "suicide attempt" or after the OD) was heartbreaking. He seemed so contrite to the fans, so fragile and so despondent, I really thought he wasn't gonna make it.

Then he comes back with Ultra sounding better than ever, asserts himself creatively in Depeche Mode and almost all was right with the world again.
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

If musicians like Dave Gahan and John Frusciante can do it, I wish Mac would give it some thought before RAH.
