The Tension Mounts!

Greetings to you all! This summer I decided to chase the Bunnymen across the UK, beginning on June 28th in Glasgow and ending my stay after their August 9th show in Halifax. How many of you were on the barricade at the four shows? I sensed a bit of tension between Will and Ian, particularly in Glasgow and Nottingham. The best show, in my opinion, was at Halifax where everyone was cool, no dense fog obscuring the band and they played Ocean Rain!

Any guesses what happened here when they performed Over The Wall in Glasgow? Something I've never witnessed before happened at 3:25. Things seemed to simmer down during the next three shows, although Will would strum a discordant note on his guitar to express displeasure. I love the guy and credit him with keeping the show going.

Best of all, I got to hang out with Gordy at the very start of my trip and at the very end, hanging out at his favorite bar with friends, the manager educating me on the various subtle flavors of Scotch whisky! Gordy is such a nice guy!
