Thanks. Loved the comment on Robert Plant: "You have to hand it to him: Among those who’ve read The Hobbit 38 times, Plant has probably slept with the most women."

Damn it, Hans Blix is way funnier than Ricki Lake. Seriously, who makes a Ricki Lake joke in 2008? Not that Hans Blix is a super-current reference, but his name will always be funny.

Maybe this will make you feel better about your seemingly dated reference to Ricki Lake

With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

Favorite Team America line

"Last year, I went to Iraq. Before Team America showed up, it was a happy place. They had flowery meadows, and rainbow skies, and rivers made of chocolate where the children danced and laughed and played with gumdrop smiles."

Thanks for that list, BF! I was so happy to see that Sting was #1!

They have David Crosby on the list but no Jackson. Actually, I'm glad Jackson isn't on it.

As far as Bunnymen lyrics, I've always hated the song, "Happy Death Men"

Anyone who came up with "De do do do, de da da da " deserves to be at the top of that list and much, much worse.

It's funny some of my all time favorite bands are sketchy at best in the lyrics department. The JAMC, the Ramones, My Bloody Valentine, The Damned, Danzig at times, etc.

When I think of stand out lyricists then Mac, Jarvis Cocker, J Spaceman, Lou Barlow and FB come to mind.

I'm going to give that another listen and get back to you.

I imagine Jim Morrison must be rolling over in his grave. Didn't he consider himself some kind of cerebral poet?
I always thought Mac was better if you compared the two. I don't know why the Bunnymen liked the Doors.

I swear Mac once compared himself to Shakespeare

And when it comes
Always too late
You've got the future behind you

Then when it's gone
Always too soon
You've put the past in front of you, in front of you

Special

Do you reckon hes lost all track of time and believes it actually is the xth (sorry) cebtury and Will is playing one of those mediaeval guitars, the name escapes me.

I'm trying to picture them in tights, doublets and giant ruffs
