I hate being this age. Friends, family and people I admire are leaving us much sooner than I would like. My understanding is Fletch was the glue that kept DM together. Kept Martin L Gore at ease.

Would you believe it, I have no records by DM - and yet this massive thread suggests there's overlap and I might like them. Go on then - which album should I buy if I were tempted to dip my toe in. I do like the pervy master and servant record though - though don't read too much into that, obviously.

I think Black Celebration is regarded as their masterpiece probably followed by Violator and Music For the Masses.

I like Some Great Reward the best.
