Daily, we are asked if Ian will be producing more of his handwritten The Killing Moon signed / lyric prints.
Ian feels passionately that as many fans as possible should be able to have the opportunity to own this iconic piece of Bunnymen history.
With this in mind, Ian has written and signed some more prints, they are available exclusively via the shop on Ian’s new website www.ianmcculloch.info

I know he has to earn but this is now pushing things

new lyrics for another song please

I still wouldnt however.

It does seem greedy and unfair on the fans who bought the first batch thinking they were limited edition. It all feels a bit Only Fools and Horses, dodgy market trader stuff rather than releasing new music

The music biz is tanked right now. Mac has to make a living. It doesn’t bother me.

Hope he can hang in until 2025, when he will be eligible for a state pension.

It would be interesting to know his net worth and what income he (or Will) gets from album royalties and songwriting credits, tours, etc.

It's sad if the only way he can make a living is by repeatedly writing out thousands of copies of the lyrics of a verse he wrote almost 40 years ago though.

Every bit helps. He isn't touring and artists get the shaft in the new streaming world unless you are a superstar with millions and millions of streams.

wonder if this (slightly off topic) will affect that many artists

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-57445303

People tend to assume mega fanboys and girls are kind of stupid in buying everything, but they do have a choice whether to buy crap like this.

I'd have assumed they made a very healthy sum per year touring America alone?
It wouldn't work if Mac was a slaphead would it.

You’d be surprised at what little money bands are left with after a short “tour”. When Will was my partner, he sent me one of their financials and I asked why didn’t they have much at the end. I made more than him most years working a 9-6 day job.

In 2007 the Bunnymen were the headliners a a small village festival in Halesworth (a small village in Suffolk England).

it mostly comprised of local talent pluss a headline from the 70s/80s.

the bunnymen got paid £1800 for that gig plus expenses.

My mate used to organise it so thats how I know

£500 for Mac and Will and £200 each for the others

even if you had a gig a week its not a lot of £££££
