First official Led Zeppelin documentary announced

We know there is more to life than the music of the Bunnymen. Talk about those other bands here.

I hope it's a warts-and-all doc and not a fluff piece. There was a lot of debauchery and substance abuse with Led Zeppelin. It would have been a much different band without all that and I think it's important to cover it. However since it says "The film is based around new interviews with the three surviving band members, “no outside voices or conjecture”", it sounds more autobiographical and therefore viewed through rose-tinted glasses. I guess it depends on how honest they are in their recollection.

Yep, what is the age of consent in California? Read the hammer of the gods book which covered some of that stuff, and that was a jolly good read. Doubt they're ever going to talk about it I spose. Though the musical story is quite interesting in itself. Never liked zep much though, it's kind of alright and the planty starts wailing and yelping.

Sometimes I wonder when the hammer will fall on the old rock stars as it did for Hollywood folks like Kevin Spacey, Cosby, Weinstein, etc.

Well I was wondering as I wrote that. Roy Harper was up before the beak a few years ago but acquitted and charges dropped. Gary Glitter - no idea if you have heard of him in the usa, glam rock bloke, took his computer in to repair and nosey bloke at the shop found kiddie porn. Spent some time inside then went to Vietnam where he was arrested and jailed for young girls.. I think he's back now. But apart from that rock dudes seem to be overlooked. Oh a couple of DJs here have been pulled. The Dave Lee Travis case seemed to turn into a bit of a farce. American DJ Paul Gambocini case dropped.
