Lover Lover on Spanish TV 1992

Never saw this one before and great image quality.
The guitarist (forgot his name, it's not Roddy Frame nor Mike Mooney, is it ?) even joins a handsome Ian (without shades) at the mic (SHOCKING) on this far too big stage.

Bonus video, Candleland live in Ibiza (??!) with another (?) guitarist in shameful clothing, the bassist clearly on E and Mac in a wonderful singing rendition of the song.

Isn't it Mike Mooney on the left in both videos (mind you, my eyes are shit these days!). I think the bassist in the second one is Edgar 'Summertyme' Jones of The Stairs?

There was a link to this with those videos. Where's it from?

Ian Brown, Cerys Matthews, Ian McCulloch and Jo Whiley

This is a programme from a short lived series hosted by Jo Whiley on channel 4, if I remember correctly. Had 3 musicians on each week, think this was one of the earlier episodes.

She's Welsh, Channel 4 were all about musical ethnic minorities back in the day. Probably.

I used to think she was quite attractive in an angular Welsh sort of way. Don't know what she's looking like these days?

exactly the same - though it (a) might be an old picture (b) be photoshopped to within an inch of its life.

Listened to the blues show a couple of times by accident - some of it, well, its blues as captain kirk might say, but not as we know it. That or she has a wide definition. But then when they talk abut R&B these days its not the four sweaty blokes knocking out twelve bar riffs is it.

Mac looks like a child in that first video. Great cover though. Mac was right though when he said his solo albums were lacking and he was of the attitude that's good enough.
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts
