On a slightly football-related theme (if you can class what we've been subjected to at this Goodison this season as football), I've just read the funniest nickname yet for Big Sam - "Lardiola", love it. I'm sure the American contingent wonder what the hell we're on about, it's 'soccer'! By the way, Wayne Rooney's on his way over there to show you how it's done which should be quite helpful for you to pick it up as he does everything in slow motion these days!

Lardiola, classic.

Some of us Yanks know a bit about the sawker, thank you very much.

I used to watch AC Milan, going back to the mid 90's. Dropped off the last few years but still keep up a little bit with what's happening over in Europe, mainly England and Spain. Used to watch a bit more, but wanted to go out and do stuff on the weekend mornings. No need to mention 2005 and why I don't like LFC...I do root a bit for Atletico, so I can't go for RM on the 26th. And no one wants RM to win another CL cup--basta!

Rumor is Rooney coming over to DC? I'll be sure to wave to him in slow motion if I ever run into him on public transportation.

It's weird how the interest in Italian football which was big over here in the 1990s has waned and everything seems to be La Liga these days, many of the better players wishing for a move to Spain these days where it used to be Italy.

Well I believe everything I read on the internet so I suppose so, who knows. I assumed that because it was in liverpool, and the average WP gig is a few hundred then they maybe thought nobody would go, or maybe its not selling well anyways. I dunno. I had tickets fro the Leeds gig but then in a fit of eagerness booked a cheap holiday - so you see, it can happpen to anyone!!

I suppose it would have been funnier if they'd postponed a show because Mac had got a cheap last-minute weekend break in Skegness on Booking.com booking dot yeah.

Money, I suppose. Italy used to pay for the best and then they didn't. I do miss the days when Serie A ruled the world.

No way will they be on stage till 10.00, and if Real Madrid hold out till injury time it'll be later. Should be fascinating, I wish I was going. The gig will be fantastic/awful depending on the result.

Is Mac the only one that's really arsed about the football anyway?
