I don't know if it's the interview or more the site which it is posted. I think they don't want any links to this forum because of the discussions regarding cocaine use. But those were so far int he past any users coming here from the other site probably wouldn't even see them.
It's a shame because both sites can serve a purpose to spread the Bunnymen word.

I think it's probably more to do with what has been written in this forum. Any official forum is not going to set its own rules about certain comments and then link into something that has the very types of comments it's trying to prevent. Maybe there's a little bit of unhealthy competition rivalry in there as well. Perhaps there is a fear that VT.com is getting a little bit too popular at that moment, especially while there is nothing going on in the Bunnymen camp at the moment with any real news.
Personally, I'm surprised that some things we do get away with on the official forum. I mean, in all fairness, I don't think the webmaster has ever removed comments that have criticised albums or poor live gigs -- the case in point is The Works CD, which is getting a roasting over here and seems to be on there too. It's been what was viewed as personal attacks (which is fair enough) or where there was a legal implication. Others will differ, but some other band forums that I have come across in the past are just like they are run by the Gestapo when it comes to the fans' views. Many of the fans seem to be mini-Hitlers if you make any negative remarks as well. So it could be worse.

And Peter used the discussion of cocaine use as an excuse to deem this site verboten.
The Noel interview is the biggest Bunnymen-related event to happen online since the moments-after-broadcast on-demand streaming of "Meet The Bunnymen".

well that might be the case, but I think he just does what he's told (possibly a tad inefficiently and without a great deal of finesse or professional je ne sais quoi - you know I dont even know how to spell that and I am 1/8th french).
