I also thought meteorites was a pretty good album much better than the fountain. I do wonder if WAYGTDWYL was released now how it would be recieved. I like the very mellow feel to it and it's mrs bunngod'd favourite

No, I'd gladly take The Fountain over Meteorites. At least the Fountain has Shroud of Turin.

It's not a fan favorite but I love WAYGTDWYL. I think it's the last album where Mac's voice really soars and the songs seem so heartfelt and passionate.

Hello he lives!!!! Still catching shows whenever I can in the UK.Normally time my visits to coincide.Have you seen the Bristol setlist? Really a time for a change. Seems to me they just turn up and play the songs lasered into their memories.I moved to Sweden 4 and half years and it that time we have had 10 new songs only.....they are just paying the bills and not much artistic merit anymore. Whilst Meteorites had its moments the production is unlistenable.....that Youth must have tinitus or something how much treble its mastered with. Bizarre. Shame. I love the title song but Constantinople is weak live...should bin it.

See you soon in September and November for Bunny shows.

I just KNOW that on this tour they will throw in a few song they normally don't play. I'm even betting they will hit on the head when they play Proud to Fall on the CA leg of their tour! Surprise us!

I wasn't at Bristol (conflicting events - Manics in Cornwall) - but FFS can we all be honest, the band did a classic festival set at Bristol!! Can you all tell me that if you rocked up at such a gig and Mac said "here's a newey" you would be happy!! FFS they are playing to the crowd and I for one am happy with that! I don't post often but..........

The main reasons I stopped going to Bunnymen gigs was the mostly set in stone setlist and the "wish I was at home washing the dog" performances. Sounds like not much has changed.

Yes, finally someone thinks the same regarding Météorites production , which was crap and too much treble !
Only title song is great
To the logical limit

Just thought I'd add a moan, I htink the song meteorites starts off great, atmospherics and all that, its as if its a minute or so in and mac the 'songwriter' kicks in and says, oh, i think we need a chorus here' and it all goes a bit fountainy. Still one of the better ones and still better live. Having said that haven't played it in ages so I may have forgotten. I'm kind of with Cheesy but still get the urge to scratch the itch to see if its got better now and again.

I know what you mean, every year when they announce the December Liverpool gigs I'm tempted to go and see if things have changed but then I realise I'm not that arsed anymore. I'll save it for the farewell tour!
