Great, great interview. Thanks Brian and thanks to Noel Burke for being a great sport about it. He didn't shy away from anything.

Good stuff.
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

Damned fine job, Bri.

He was indeed a good sport. Now I feel a tad guilty for my reaction to seeing them live.
just a tad.

I'm free for an interview

Good stuff Brian.

When I think back to those times I always think of us laughing - I'm sure there were a lot more successful bands out there who were a lot more miserable than us.

Like Bunnymen Mk 1 for example?

Who would you like? I'll ask anyone if you have a way to contact them. It can't hurt to ask I suppose. For the record, Will did not respond to my inquiry for an interview. I'd love to do a technical interview with him similar to that Guitar magazine interview. I think Les said everything he needs to say in a recent online interview. I'm always open for suggestions.

This was unique in the sense that this period of Bunnymen history has been officially shunned and would never happen on the official site.

I'm really glad you all enjoyed the interview.

I think he said some good stuff in there and it's clear to me that he went into it cautiously knowing it couldn't last but determined to make the best of it and have a good attitude. I am so happy he was not grumpy, petty and bitter and was realistic and thoughtful. It really shows what he's made of.

That was a funny story about the Chinese guy who always wanted to give him free drinks and I had not realized that by the end they were not really doing any Mac songs. According to Steve's Recording List (see the links section), only "Silver" was being played live at later shows.

By the way, I checked out that School of Language band he mentioned and I like them quite a bit. There is a link in the interview.

So you did ask? I was half joking when I asked if you would. Thanks for being a good sport and for trying!

That would be a great interview. It's a shame they or he won't consent.

yes I really asked. I asked via his Glide forum. I know he read the PM because it was gone from my Outbox. Maybe he just forgot. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt since he is hands down my favorite guitar player and influenced me greatly. It would have been nice however to at least get a response, even if it was just to decline for whatever reason. The whole reason this site and forum exists is because we are all huge fans, warts and all. I really hope they all understand that despite a lot of negativity that gets presented on the forum here.

Hey Brian, did you run any of my Noel Burke jokes by him? I think he would enjoy them.

No, but he is aware this thread exists. I did tell him I have your address in case he wants to send over some associates with some pliers and a blowtorch.
