"Black's "Wonderful Life" is still a great album.
I took a girl to Liverpool in December '87 to see Black play at the Royal Court. He played a great gig. We stayed in a (then) awful hotel on Mount Pleasant and went down to Probe Records in the morning. There were 2 tickets for his second gig for sale on a notice board in Probe so we bought them and phoned home to say we'd be staying another night. We've now been together 22 years and have two kids. Good old Colin Vearncombe. (I don't usually post sentimental crap on VT, but there we go)."
