Ian Curtis

We know there is more to life than the music of the Bunnymen. Talk about those other bands here.

I saw them in 1979 in the Glasgow Apollo, it was more by luck than anything as we were there to see The Buzzcocks.... I was just 13 at the time but I attended a youth club who had a really cool punk youth leader who used to take us in organised trips to local concerts......

I wish. But I did see Peter Hook and the Light performing their songs. It was really good.

That's pretty cool. What did you think of them at the time?
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

I should tell you that see them changed my life and altered my musical tastes forever...... But truth is really I can't really remember them at all, it was only after Ian Curtis died that I actually realised they were the support band

That's okay. When I tell the story from here on out it's gonna be my buddy Jimbo was dad dancing with Bernard on stage.

Saw New Order at Manchester Apollo in 1998. Does that count?

Only if Stephen Morris was singing.

I remember a friend saying that she was at a show to mostly see Paul Young
and by the way Joy Division were also on the bill-she stayed outside as she was not interested
my response "why?"

Went to see the who back end of 70s maybe v early 80s. Q tips supporting but me and my bro were practicing the two pronged dual attack on the bar (which is funny because despite saying whoever elbows their way to yhe bar first gets the beer, you always end up with twi e ss much as I tended) and missed em. So that kind of evens it up.
