What Shall We Ask Ian?

In the few shows I've attended, Ian invariably asks the audience to ask him a question in an effort to start up a conversation. Based on the reviews of the last several shows, the music set list is short and the chat is kept to a minimum, so he may not engage the audience in a question /answer session this time around. But if the invitation is made, what one question would you ask of him? Are you and Will working on that next album? What do you like most about US audiences? Is that one of those e-cigarettes you’re taking hits off of between songs or one of those new vape pens from Colorado or Washington? I’ll be so stoked to see them that I’m bound to blurt out anything.

Ooh! Ooh! Some good ones! I better not remember any of these because depending on how much tequila I have during the shows, I will be tempted to throw one of these out at him. Of course Ian will then challenge me to a fight after which he storms off stage, end of show. It might be worth it just to see Will and the other band members smile for the first time ever while on stage.

So I'd ask him 'what really happened at the York Rock Festival' - it was '83 or '84, and there was a bottle thrown and then a bit of a dust up twixt the Bunnymen (well Mac really) and the bouncers, at least that was what the 'press' had to say about it, I don't really know what occurred (and I was there!)

No bottle was thrown, a girl who was beside me at the front barrier was punched by a security and Will cracked the guy with his guitar and Mac started giving the security guys lip from the stage and off stage...... Security took exception so decided to teach Mac a lesson....

from near the back where i was i saw Will twat someone with his guitar- thought mac had a go with the mic stand too, and then there was a stage invasion. Looked brill form where i was. the gig at hammersmith palais the following monday was a cracker - mac in megashades.
