Ashes To Ashes

Tired of discussing the Bunnymen and all the bands that have been influenced by them? This is the place for you.

Down the M62 in Liverpool, Echo and the Bunnymen and the Teardrop Explodes developed the musical style (loud guitars and mouthy seriousness) that U2 would polish and dilute to make the stuff of stadium rock.

No slagging here. This quote sums up the whole thing quite well. Thanks.

To unite the two threads -

Reward by the Teardrops was played in Ashes To Ashes last night. Just before Bolly got her top off in a scene that will probably have horrified Guardian readers.

Its 10 times better than Life On Mars...
Mr. Brian, I find that offensive.

Worth it for the cover alone.Reminds me of when I bought Nena 99 Red Balloons(or neun und neundzig luft ballons) just for a photo of Nena. This was before she lifted up her arms to reveal the the gorillas in the mist living in her armpits.
Torchwood was ok,not great but ok.Probably still better than Sherminator:The Chronic Files on tonight.

it occurred to me I've bought all four goldfrapp albums on this principle - with the added bonus she always manages to get some smut into her lyrics here and there.

Yeah that crazy hair does nothing 4 me.

The first ten minutes of episode 5 was hilarious.
