75 Minutes.....

Postby Grumpy_Jimbo » Mon Jun 09, 2014 8:25 am

... the length of set The Bunnymen played on Saturday & Sunday...!

For a band who have been together for over 30 Years and released 11 Studio albums, should we not expect more ?

Am not asking for a Cure 47 Song, 4 Hour set... Just a set that reflects their back catalouge and history....

Their set time has actually reduced over the years, FFS they were playing 90 minute sets in 1981....

What do the rest of you think.....

I think they're taking the piss, I'd expect at least a 90 minute main set plus encores. The last time I saw Judas Priest (stop sniggering at the back) they played for over two hours and they're all in their 60's ffs!
And you know that I'll pick up
Every time you call
Just to thank you one more time

I agree, it's not enough. Should be an hour and half minimum. The tickets weren't cheap either.

cant argue 75 minutes/17 tracks is not enough, drop the adlibs and play 3-4 more tracks.

Agreed, saw em last night at Bristol. They were good and all that but just not long enough, and apart from the new tracks they played I am proper bored of the setlist now. God knows why I keep going to see them, and even he probably don't know.
Each time I say that's my lot, not going again, then like magic I find myself there.

75 minutes longer than the Liverpool gig.

a)Might be pandering to the Y?-generation whose attention span is lucky to be 30min
before checking facebook status or what ever or just the need to talk about nothing.

They may need to do better research on who the target audience actually is

b)the target audience can't stand up for long periods of time

c)They don't like playing-so on then off=75minutes
The problem with self improvement is knowing when to quit.

The set has been scientifically formulated the maximum length before Mac's voice fails.

Spoke to Will in the pub before the gig he did say they are still looking for a new date for the Liverpool gig.
All the band were in The Hatchet for a beer first, except Mr Grumpy of course
