seven. you can probably guess which. And what do they define as 'liverpool album' - recorded by scousers or in liverpool, I mean Boris was kind of right wasn't he, beatles recorded all their stuff in london and left liverpool as soon as they could. Also, is any if this true?

Liverpool is the music capital of the world.
With the most number 1 singles and a raft of classic albums to emerge from the city, it's widely regarded as the home of pop.
With that in mind, we've created a list of 50 albums - some stone-cold masterpieces, others notable for their singles which changed popular culture, several which have attained cult status and a few contemporary winners which will go down as influential records of today.

not that i've anything against them bigging themselves up a bit for the sake of a bit of facebook publicity. I looked up the best city for singles and got something quite different.
