Mr Brian, this forum is rapidly descending into an immoral abyss. We've had weeks of titty flashing when we attempt to log on and now we are subjected to a bombardment of double-entendre (ooh missus) by these ladies.

Looked a bit like the band were walking on eggshells a bit at the Paris gig. It was really good, not stellar.
I remember a couple US shows where Mac had throat problems, back problems, etc. They still went on with the shows but were kind of crap.
Oxford. Wonder why they didn't tell Black Sub to cut their set a bit short so they could've done the full show. Agree with 5times, sounds like it should've been planned a little better. I was in Japan recently and saw the Stones play. Show started at 6 pm!! They played forever though, did not leave anything out.

Just landed great trip for me IBS lol .right oxford here goes...
1) They came on late and the set was cut due to Mac.Wills face when he left straight after NLS was total shock
2) Mac struggling with his throat from the off slugging honey from the bottle
3) Wills playing was immense including a Vox Phantom twelve string for Silver
4)Constantinople was mega ,as was rescue ,Kingdom never stop.
5)Mac Mac Mac ....ok he was ill but which of the following comments related to his throat ?
"Shut the fuck up you've done that once" to a crowd member shouting
"All I can hear is fucking bass"
"Have you got that sub bass shit on my monitor" both to sound man
"Stop fucking talking when he's playing " to crowd member when they started new horizons and then stopped to restart

"Aaah fuck it stop stop" after deciding not to do new horizons
"You are a fucking weird crowd ". Self explanatory
"I only cAme back in because you sang never walk alone " fuck that I ain't singing Liverpool songs
"You don't sing that bit anymore" to a pissed off looking Ste
" jesters arm firmly ordering Ste to sing" Ste looks more pissed off
Gordy looked terrified
Keyboard guy as well
drummer too
will ??? And me seen it all before ....

Since the drummer is recently referred to here as 'drummer'... Is Nick gone?

That absolutely sucks. I kind of thought they might be on the ball, Mac being excited about His album and all. Still no chance. DS, I am in Spain and have an extra couple of days. I was nearly going to go to the Shepards Bush show but after your review, it's too much of a chance. I hadn't seen them live for a year and a half and got a decent show so perhaps that is part of where my excitement came from re: Paris. It really is hit or miss and you almost but have to go to local shows since who knows what will happen. With a handful of dates, you'd think it might be ok....

At least I got a day with my kids but I was thinking the same...how can you justify the cost to hope to catch a good one ?its a roulette wheel these days....Something not right with the band at all....he really was on the precipice of losing it completely but a couple of old classics pulled it back.

Glad about these somewhat negetive reviews.

I thought it was just me. I was with the wife who is Bunnymen Virgin, even she thought their hearts were not in it.

I feel so sorry for Will The othere are hiered hand and they know it, but how must Will feel when he sees somthing he help create slowy wither and die.

My advice catch this tour for many reasons i think it could be there last

Not convinced that Nick, Ste, Gordy, Jez and Will, will put up with it much longer.

Saw all of them before the gig and they are usually quite chatty and friendly. This time they were polite but were not intrested.

These are troubled times, quite sad really

The only reason this is called a Bunnymen album is so that Mac can sell more units.

Maybe with the extra day off, they can get it together for the handful of other shows that are left. Still doesn't fix the letdown-ish from the other night.
I don't understand how they can't just do an hour show with no weird shit and it's now obvious when the rest are standing there with that nervous look on their faces. They were like that during the whole show I just saw and some were beyond pleasantly surprised that it went off without a hitch when I spoke to them after. At least one of them was.

Bloody hell, I wouldn't want to be at the front for a bunnymen gig. Scared to move or speak in case Mac shouts at you.
