ha ha. home already. Not buns fault but TH RULES and a 10pm curfew. Missed fist half hour cos i was in the pub (note to self......) Was OK generally. watched half of the half of a gig through some twats mobile phone whilst he held in front of my face. what a nob. band was OK. mac a bit moody, stopped one of the new songs twice, had a go at people talking, stopped all that jazz, and then got on with it. So thought we were heading for the car crash but swerved and avoided. k'inell. I'm at home!!!!!! and its not even eleven! rock and flipping roll.....

Black Submarine good but sound very muddy/boomy..... as support acts tend to be....Buns came on a 8.30 and were off at 9.30pm Curfew at 10pm so they came off a bit early really.... only did one encore so we didn't get LLS and OR :( but when they went off before the first and only encore the crowd were doing that clapping altogether thing and then they still didn't come on and the crowd started singing Liverpool, YNWA and that seemed to do the trick (never heard the crowd sing that before).... Mac said he came back on because we sung that well..... I really liked the new songs live (Constantinople, Holy Moses, Lovers and maybe one more...., I think It was New Horizons that got scrapped).... Mac admitted he 'had a cob on for the last half hour and didn't know why'. Maybe because his voice was a bit hoarse
last night after doing the other gigs, he had honey a few times. Overall, they/he sounded great!

One hour is not much. I'd be annoyed at that. I know there was a curfew but they should have been aware of this and started earlier.

Strange atmosphere last night.

The band was tense and looked a bit uncomfortable

As others have said, a short night

Good to see some yougsters there

Saw Will before the gig and he was a bit sullen.

Saw Mac lso he was with Zoe and toddler Dusty and Mi Mi, he had time to stop and chat and was in high spirits.

The new songs sound quite good live and blend in quite well with the Ocean Rain stuff

Set List
Meteroites
Noctrurnel Me
Rescue
Holy Moses
My Kingdom
Bebugs
Seven Seas
Constaniople
Silver
Never Stop
New Horizons (Scrapped)
All that Jazz
Lovers on the Run
Dancing horses
Kiling Moon
Cutter
Encore Noting lasts for ever/ wild side / midnight hour

Being a bit petty I know but was told by mate who went that encore ended at 9.45. Also said he thought Mac seemed upset that he was losing his voice rather than being moody! Just what he told me but usually gives me a fair review and maybe, kind of, explains the strange atmosphere that's been mentioned!

Also, just heard that Alan Wills (Shack, Coral, Deltasonic) was critically injured in a road accident, maybe that contributed to the atmosphere. Very sad news!

The wierd thing about last night was there was a pause inbeteen each song.

Play a song stop chat, play next song stop chat

There was no continarty or "flow"

The band had one eye on Mac and one eye on performing

Mac was chatty in places but could not understand him.

At one point he encouraged questions from the crowd and the next minute he got pissed of at heckling or crowd chatter.

At one point he asked the offenders to leave.

All in all it was a nice show but no Bunny Magic perhaps that why the crowd's attention was not fully grabbed.

Hope Alan Wills is ok. I used to talk to him quite a lot when he was setting up Deltasonic. He's a really nice bloke. Get well soon.

Yes, always hear nice things about him! Unfortunately he was critically injured, head injury from what I've read.
Also mentioned in Antwerp that a friend was ill, not Alan Wills.

I wonder if the chat between songs was to give the throat a rest???

Fair enough but did you check the time came on??? :) Reason I thought he had a point was that the main part of the set was just a couple of mins short of an hour in Paris, without much chat, or stops and starts!! Then didn't they do NLF / WOTWS?? You were there, I wasn't! And we're only talking about 15 minutes!!

Yeah, fairly sure that they came on at 8.30pm ish....but whatever it was short! :( but there must have been a reason....

no worries... like you said it is only 15mins but it was you that questioned it so just thought I would confirm... :-)

Yeah, looks like Mac's throat was the problem. If my mate got the times wrong, seems like he had a point with the frustrations/atmosphere!! Hope he gets better soon and the rest of the tour goes ahead, the gigs I saw were faultless!
