Positive - Mac was on stellar form. Voice great, banter equally superb, witty, chatty and generally engaging with the audience. Vocals on Nocturnal Me were outstanding (from someone who saw them in 1984 that is saying something). New songs were really good - and good to hear so many - they were well received and performed and augers well for release of album. Nay-sayers, please wait till you see them perform the new tracks before writing off the new album...

Negative - I have got to say Will didn't look completely engaged/happy. I have read a lot on the forum about this, and would love to disagree with what I have read, but genuinely, I thought he was going through the motions. That said, I met Will and Gordy before the show and both were as happy as the happiest men in Happyland, so maybe I am misreading things and reading too much into Will's performance based - seriously - on the negativity that pervades this site about a great band.

So - This is Chunkyhair's insight after seeing the Bunnymen in the home town he left 25 years ago - WTF didn't they play there in 1980-87!!!!

Sounds like Mac is ready for it aside from someone setting off the first night of the tour. Will is counting his cash for gold and Gordy has always been such a nice bloke.

Paris up next. Am here and ready to see it.

Hi, the link does not show a setlist (well on my computer indeed). There are no setlist on Setlist.fm yet btw.

Interesting thing checking out the Setlist is that I can see quite a lot of upset fans at their forthcoming tour..... Sad thing is that the majority who will be attending the shows will be looking purely for a Greatest Hits Set, they'll be most upset with 5 or 6 new tunes.......

I was sure I heard it but earlier than listed, maybe it was wishful thinking (not China crisis)

This can throwing incident is quite ironic following the much discussed plastic cup kicking scandal at the Philharmonic a short while ago. Imagine if somebody had jumped up and offered Mac out in the same way...

Still don't blame the Macster for his actions though. I hate those knobheads who throw containers full of ale/piss at gigs; it ruined the stone roses at Finsbury Park last year.

Quite a few enthusiastic youngsters at the Academy in December. Maybe the bunnymen are becoming hip again.

Thirty-somethings seem young these days. :frown:
