Am quite enjoying it so far, certainly not a classic but it's certainly not as band as some folk on here are trying to make out...

There's not a duffer or a Proxy on there. It's very solid, with some great catchy lines. I even like Is This A Breakdown? Which I thought was a bit dodgy from the clips, I love the line in Meteorites, "Lies, I promised you meteorites would form in your eyes, and comets would treat you right"

On a first listen I found it close to bad, mediocre at best. Really doubt this first impression will change with repeated listens, but will see. This will be the first album with the Bunnymen name that I will not buy. Liked the live version of Lovers..., but hate how the vocals were recorded, and also preferred the slightly faster pace of the live version. I found this offering close to Candleland in vibe. Constantinople reminds me a bit of In Bloom, in character. The guitars on that one sound nice.

I think it is very solid album, at least 3 or 4 excellent songs. The moaners that always moan, that it is not as good as the first four albums will say it's shit. All well can't please every one.

Well it's better than the tripe most of their 80s contemporaries are putting out.
It wouldn't work if Mac was a slaphead would it.

The vocals could be clearer and it needs more guitar but it's not bad at all, I quite like it.

If Dr. Cheese likes it, it must be really really good album. And I agree compared to most music being put out today I think it's a fine album. Can't wait to see them in Detroit August 11th, already got my tickets.

This is the most Bunnymen sounding album in years .Breakdown my fave so far surprisingly .Little filler and a good dose of garage punk in there.Still love em and Will is all over the album .if you are a fan from the 80s get it ...some people on here are just looking for reasons to slag it.Enjoy it for what it is..

I think Cheesey is the true barometer here. I'm not being sarcastic at all in saying that his approval is a real ringing endorsement of the album.

I think you all need to take Dr Cheese's recent football-related euphoria into account.

Really crap album for me...
Bad production, repetitive lyrics...

3 or 4 songs could have been great, but it ends in shite.

Poltergeist is 1000 times better...
To the logical limit
