More warm beer for me then.

So back to Will needing to take reign . . . Chopped Hog with Ian belting out hooky vocals like he once did on Do It Clean and Over Your Shoulder? Good times indeed.

Never gonna happen.
What's the last song Will wrote for the Bunnymen that Ian recorded? Happy Death Men, right? A setlist fixture, that.

Ian's unlikely to record anything Will's written, let alone two songs already recorded and released on an album.

I will admit though that I had the same feelings about both songs when I first heard them. They're the most accessible tracks Will's done, and are better than most anything the Bunnymen have recorded since Evergreen.

I remember reading on an interview that Will wrote the music for Parthenon Drive and Scissors.

According to Turquoise Days Will wrote most of the music for the Crocodiles album and on the box set liner notes I think Mac and Will say Seven Seas was Will's song.
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

Not crazy about either of those.

I like how that thread was quickly turned into a Mac's grey hair forum. Very clever.

I think withahip needs an internet connection and a bottle of Wild Turkey to get things going again.

I can assure you withahip is still taking his Viagra religiously.

And dyeing his hair.

Yeah we order them together from Canada along with Jack and Frank the Bunny to save on shipping. Times are tough you know!

I have not listened to c.o.t.e. lately so I added to to my ipod and listened again.

Damn. I know Will likes his Glide project and he can have fun with that without Ian, but c.o.t.e. is really so different from the other more nebulous Glide work. It's like they are songs just screaming for vocal tracks, but stand well on their own. I was making up words in the car with my Mac imitation voice. Some of the stuff in there is very reminiscent of older Bunnymen music. It's like the great unfinished Bunnymen album!

Here is my plan. Lock Mac in a room with c.o.t.e. and a pad of paper and a pen. He can't come out until he has written lyrics for it. Then remaster the thing and add real drums for the most part and vocals. THAT would be the best Bunnymen album since Ocean Rain!

Will is a great song writer. His riff on Killing Moon and Empire State Halo and . .ok.

Will needs to pull a David Gahan and say here's what's gonna happen Mac or there's no more Bunnymen. Thanks to Gahan's new found sack we got "Suffer Well" the best song on Playing the Angel.
