Good! The duo still have a catalog to be proud of so I can't see begrudging them a good turnout even if their material over the the last 15 years has continually diminished in quality.

They barely got any coverage in the press or toured at all for the album I pretend does not exist AKA The Fountain. With Facebook presence, a better website and new management (right? I've lost track) I think they are getting more press and selling more tickets.

I think their last US TV appearance was in 2006 on the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson.

I think they did Kimmel in 2010 and not all the music in the last 15 years is that bad. Evergreen was a very good album and What Are You Going To Do With Your Life , it may be a Mac album was very good also. Siberia had some good tunes on it also and the Avalanche ep was very good. So all this gloom about the past 15 years is getting old, just my opinion. Looking forward to Meteorites, Market Town has me excited.

I love Evergreen and WAYGTDWYL but they came out in 97 and 99. And yes you are right, a handful of Siberia songs were good as were Flowers. We still haven't had an entire good album in 15 years. I do like Market Town. Hopefully the rest of the album will follow suit.

Yes they did do Kimmel in 2009. I forgot about that one.

Yeah I forgot to mention Flowers. The song Flowers, Will's guitar playing on that track is amazing . . I just had to listen to it from Live in Liverpool and Will is just great on that track, it's my favorite song on the Flowers album. I know the first four albums will never be matched, I long ago have accepted that, but I still think Ian & Will (Echo And The Bunnymen) are better then most bands that are out there today.

I saw them at Kimmel. Have a couple friends that work on the show. Thought they sounded alright there.
Saw a guy who looked like a homeless person walking around in the green room and although they have really tight security, anything could be possible. Was going to mention it to someone until the guy turned around ... it was Ian.
Went back to see friends and a different band a couple months after and it was said to me that they won't be banging down their door to have them come on and perform again. Am still curious about that. Might have to ask about it at some point.

Wonder which # Homeless Man was.
I've noticed that he retired the jeans with the massive hole in them that were a staple for a long time, even worn on tv shows.
That could be a new bunnymen trivia question!! At least brings them out of the 80s.

Well, today's posts suggest that the singer from our favourite band is some sort of a schizophrenic, alcoholic tramp.
