I've got that Istanbul European cup run feeling. The more it went on, you just knew they were going to do it...

I'd be disappointed with third, but there's always next season to win it. This is the best Liverpool team since 1988.

 Don't say that.

I suppose Moyesy will be after a job by then. Then again. if he's got any sense, he'll be laughing his head off on an island paradise with his millions, having single-handedly destroyed Manchester United.

I think a good few Evertonians reckoned this season was going to be a relegation battle having lost Moyes and got Martinez in. Very unlikely to get into the Champions League now but it could be a pretty decent point total and league position by May, if we could finish above Moyes and United it would also put down a marker for next season. Not sure the squad is up to the Europa League though, can't remember many sides improving their league form when they've been involved in it.

No no no, we need Moyes still in charge next season and Utd in the Europa League. It would be even more hilarious watching him gurning on the touchline somewhere in the arse end of Europe on a freezing Thursday night.

Andre Villas Boas, how on earth does he always manage to land on his feet and get a new job so quickly, and a proper job, I mean Zenit aren't exactly Accrington Stanley are they?

Best job in the world being a football manager. Get sacked, massive pay off, few months off, and then start the process again somewhere else.

I reckon 7/4 on United to get through tonight is a decent price, after all they didn't waste must energy in the Liverpool match. Can still see them getting to the semis or even the final just like Chelski did a couple of years back when their league form was pretty ordinary.

yes, but Chelsea then were better than Utd are now.
I think they'll go out tonight. If not, it will be hilarious to see them against Bayern Munich.

All they need is a result at home against a pretty poor side (have you seen their record away when playing in England?) tonight and a flukey result in the last 8 and they're in the semis.
