Hello

New here today, can't think why it's taken me so long to find this (find is the wrong work as it implies I've been looking and I haven't - if that makes any sense?? No? I'll get me coat)
Anyway it occurred to me that the internet was the place to find other Bunnymen fans - and here you are, it's a pleasure to meet you all.
I don't know if it's good form (there is probably another place on the forum to introduce oneself, so I apologise if I've broken some kind of protocol) but a few things about me; I've been a Bunnymen fan since the first album (I'll be 50 next year) I saw them a dozen or so times in the 80's, the most memorable were the Crystal Day and the one and only York Rock Festival, seen them a few times in recent years - the Round House, 3 or so years ago, was the last.

I wanted to comment on this page about my top 20, a lot have Heaven Up Here as their favourite and until recently I would have agreed with that, now, without question, my favourite is Porcupine, I have a new car with a brilliant sound system and can play it REALLY load, the track Porcupine is simply magnificent, and I've just changed my will to have it as the song playing at my funeral (that'll please my brother if he's still alive..,) Morbid? I don't know about that - but I guess it goes to show how we change as we get older. My top 4 (nothing else is worth a mention in my opinion)

Porcupine
Heaven Up Here
Ocean Rain
Crocodiles

Will take some time over the next day or so to catch up on all the content here, may post again may not, but, as is the way with the anonymous internet - I'll be opinionated and bolshy.

Cheers
Alexpaul

Welcome aboard the good ship VT! In the event of an emergency don't waste your time looking for a lifeboat as there aren't any

Am I to understand that The Cure and the Bunnymen are some kind of arch enemies? I remember quite liking a really early Cure album - 'sitting in the kitchen sink' rings a bell.???

Never listened to them much after the early 80's - not enough substance for me.

Welcome Alexpaul but don't think you are anonymous here  they will find you....

btw I have now got Porcupine on the heavy white vinyl and it sounds really great (I always found that album to be a bit
harsh esp. on the original cd version due to the crappy 80s mastering). I have heard sounds on it that I have not heard before!

It also smells so good ;-)

Haven't invested yet, I always imagined it smelling of gin and tonic sorbet.
