IGGY & ZIGGY

Postby withahip » Sun Feb 24, 2008 4:21 am

Yeah, that's right - get Ian off his fat ass and make moving lyrics to Glide's IGGY & ZIGGY and watch the Bunnyem become the biggest band on the planet!

I got a party of folks melting over Will's shit - f**^% all of ya that Bunnymen is a group (read two, Ian and then pastes his guitar on top) effort. Glide will put the Bunnymen on the MAP again.

But no - we will see another cd of Mac's drivel about love and loss. Lame.

your post seems a little angry, withahip. but you do have a point, and iggy & ziggy is a GREAT song.

i imagine something like that on the bunnymen album would do great things for them... though if it did make it to the album, chances are it would probably never be the released single, it might even be scraped off as a B-side, and only us fanatical fans would get to appreciate it. i wish they would take more risks with this kinda stuff...

Will is a genius and he needs to have more say in things... here's hoping

I think the word you're looking for is "drunk."

He may be drunk but he's right. I've been an advocate of this for years. I often cite the lo-fi version of A Promise from the Flowers b-sides as a great example of the power of Glide behind Mac.

My first thought was that he was off his meds (again). Did you read the webmaster response to the query/rant on the official forum? I think they're trying to play mind games.

why? because of the 'how do you know it's always peter that replies?' thing? well.......that *is* a good point! ....and bunnymen.com's member status thing does say administrator...so maybe they all have access. i've gotten emails from pete b. and peasy both from the same email address before, so it's not like it's not a possibility!

Since there's also a forum member named "pete and peasy," I was hoping that maybe someone else *cough* perhaps a band member or two *cough* may be chiming in under the admin moniker.

Then why not just come out and say who it is? Why play all those silly games? What does that accomplish? It makes me think it is just Peter.

Like the mystery 2 time poster named "fuzter" with a sgt fuzz type gmail address over here defending things over there. So is it Will or is it someone just making us think it's Will?

Childish games.

Well, the day childish games become a crime, we will all be carted away.

Agreed but I think it's different when you are insinuating you are management or a member of the band just to keep people in line and be clever. Just say who you are.

I agree. Peter's lost the respect of a vocal minority. Solution: Pretend you'r not Peter. Show up on this forum, lightly insinuating that you're a band member. Post messages supportive of Peter on the "real" (cough) board. Then, insinuate that "other" eyes are on the forum.

When Pete Byrne's posted in the past, he's posted as... Pete Byrne.
Peasy's posted as Peasy.

Uh oh! The band and management are watching! Better mind what you say, or they'll pick you out of the crowd and frown at you at the next gig... or maybe they won't let you go backstage and drink warm beer and mixers (after the "temp" bandmembers have carted the good booze and beer off to the bus)

Shame on you for having a dissenting point of view!
