Flowers was the worst cover ever by the Bunnymen. Easily. Even when it was new and I liked the album more than I did now I hated that album cover.

Now did anyone get a look at the new James album cover?

In a press release, McCulloch had some big words for the new release. "Meteorites, the new Bunnymen album... at long last we've made the worthy successor to Crocodiles, Heaven Up Here, Porcupine and Ocean Rain," he said. "Meteorites is what Echo and the Bunnymen mean and are meant to be — up there in heaven — untouchable, celestial, beautiful and real. It has changed my life."

My daughter (5) says the album cover looks like the fossil of a fat pig ! That's the best description I've heard yet.

Track listing names sound interesting. No duffers title wise.

Can we stop with the hope and expectations?

The new cd title I like very much . . . also the song titles are very interesting. If there are four or five great songs and two or three pretty good ones then I think we will all be happy. Also a North American tour what else can I ask for, maybe them coming to Detroit, and then I can die happy.

 I was expecting that comment. I shouldn't have used the word 'tingle'. Maybe 'ray'...or 'flicker'....

Holy Moses doesn't stand out to me but I still dig Lovers on the Run. My only hope is that with Youth producing this isn't an over polished turd.

With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

Good god the label 429 records looks like a crypt. Los Lobos, Cracker, Macy Gray, Tonic, Everclear. Lisa Loeb. Jezus.

Track listing looks promising. All songs written by Mcculloch and friends I assume? Only giving Will writing crumbs on a few tracks, then this time?

"All songs are written by frontman Ian McCulloch, and performed by McCulloch and band co-founder Will Sergeant, along with guitarist Gordy Goudie and bassist Stephen Brannan."

Pleased to see Black Submarine on the UK tour bill - Nick McCabe's (the Verve's Guitarist) new/old band.

"Meteorites is what Echo and the Bunnymen mean and are meant to be — up there in heaven — untouchable, celestial, beautiful and real. It has changed my life."

Does Will have an opinion or are we just going roll him out come curtain time?

June 3 in the U.S. is the release date.

I see Andrew in the comment field is in agreement with my longstanding criticism of the new material. Some great verses then cheeseball choruses that ruin it.
