With the likelyhood of a new Bunnymen album out soon here's an idiots guide to a Bunnymen concert setlist. Do feel free to add your own anecdotes and addiditions.

Start: Gregorian chants

Very Old Song
Several More old songs
slighly newer old songs
new song
post reformation song
obligatory songs and obligatory boasting
crowd favourites

Encore
Short song that is now a long song
another extended song

So we're dropping the kicking the football towel into the audience?

It would be kind of cool if they setup a show in the UK where they just played the new album from start to finish. They could do what Lou Reed did on his New York Tour in 1988. Play the new album in one set, then do another set of the old songs. But it sure would be embarrassing if no one bought tickets or didn't show up until the 2nd set.

Based on what we all know, shouldn't this greatest hits method be the formula at this stage for tours? Face it, most casual fans could care less about anything after Evergreen.

I'm not a fan of the Grey Album as a whole but I think the live versions of Lips Like Sugar are great. They could play the entire Evergreen album and I'd be pretty happy with that actually. That's a great collection of songs.

Is "Preperation" the name of the new album?

I thought it was The Garden of Meedin'.
