That video was rehashed from something else. The first pledge? Something had the fish and scenes from the water on the west coast.

they used it at the roundhouse gig a few years back (fountain era?) I think, so maybe you saw it on the same tour. Should we write a strongly worded letter of complaint? Dear Mr Sergeant, as a man of great artistic merit why are you fobbing us off with the same old gumph? etc..... or hey sarge mate, love the recycling, really shows what you can do with a bit of imagination. I feel a pole coming on (oo er, er said pole coming on)

Bit of imagination, FC? Lol 'where is that old video so I can use it again?' You may need a stronger second bit to your poll. Love the 'recycling' part though. :)
Thought it was from the Things Inside pledge for something. Could be wrong.

ah, you spotted my deliberate typo. Not sure I can get worked up over a bit of repetition though. That may be where its been used. Maybe its different fish. Who cares? Just interesting the relatively sudden change in attitude to putting stuff out (whetehr you like it or not) and a need to explain himself (you'll have to read the pledge updates for this). Mac n the other hand seems to have retreated from view.

quotung myself now. IBS, theres the video of kraken but also a download of spirit from COTE with additional samples of the computer from 2001 film. I only watched that film once and fell asleep, and a spiel about how he's gone off using voice samples on stuff.

The most annoying monster name ever.

And every video game is the same platform with different curtains.

You've opened the floodgates with that one Jimbo, IBS is about to have a bloody field day.

Field day with what, VB? Rentaghost was never destined for success from day 1. Not when the Bunnymen duties would end up postponing the 'hobby.' Plus, the music only appeals to a certain type of listener or to those who just want to see Will/Les. Don't need to be clairvoyant or big business to see that.

What is it now? Will wants to paint again? No respectable gallery likes a casual artist. None. My advice is 'good luck bro.'

from Will's Facebook page:

We are really sorry about Glasgow getting cancelled. We have got ourselves into a bit of a catch 22 situation. As we have re-arranged the gigs twice before, firstly to move the gig near the album release and then again as Les got sick. Understandably confidence has be lost in us and the tickets haven't exactly been flying out. I don't blame the Glaswegians for being cautious and seeing if it was on or off, and just buying the tickets on the night. The problem is the Promotor looks at the ticket sales and advised us that they didn’t want to risk putting the gig on, and have us playing to a virtually empty room. If we do get to schedule another Glasgow gig please buy your tickets in advance you can always get a refund if anything unforeseen happens.
We are as sorry and upset about this as you are. We were really looking forward to playing in Glasgow undeniably the best place on planet earth for bands to play.

What is the difference between canceling gigs because it would be playing to virtually empty rooms v continuing with shows and playing to half-filled venues, capacity of 150?

Anyone see the Simple Minds/Jim Kerr thing recently where he came out and said 'We still need to have a lot more people at the NY show...if any of your friends are thinking of coming down, try and get them to seal the deal and come down.'

LOL
