Yeah, a couple tracks were great but a lot of it was honestly just boring and the production stinks on it. It's weird that Will mentioned Mogwai in comparison with Poltergeist's sound because they sound literally nothing alike. I wish they did sound a little bit more like Mogwai or even Ratatat if we're going the instrumental guitar/bass route. Still cool that Will and Les are playing together though.

teH Glide I likes.

Yes, I like the new track that is streaming on the pledge site, the end sounds like one of the songs off Performance.

I think the problem with Poltergeist (guitar riffs/rock) and the new Bunnymen stuff is these guys maybe have moved on from that kind of music but don't realize it or maybe feel obligated to still make that kind of music for whatever reason. The end result feels half-hearted or forced or lacking something, I dunno.

I like electronic instrumental music, the new Glide track is great and I was a big fan of Tangerine Dream and Kraftwerk back in the day but rock instrumentals? Not really, the odd track here and there is OK but a whole albums worth is a step too far. The Poltergeist stuff is mostly uninteresting and a bit boring after a while.

The problem for Me is whilst a couple of tracks are good the rest isnt "prog".The song structures are very similar to normal Bunnymen songs ....Hes my fave Guitarist but has his limitations in time signatures etc...it's not experimental to play with effects pedals over 4/4 bass loops.Just gets boring.Short shelf life this Rentaghost

Would like to give the benefit of the doubt and say maybe "losing perspective"?

Maybe he has no people around him to tell him some ideas are not good ideas?
And actually folks doing just the opposite?

Withahip, I am with you 100% on that. Who is gonna be honest and tell him that some of the ideas aren't good? Not many unfortunately.

You never want to see your favorite artists having to be reduced to playing for 100 people if that and not even selling a few hundred copies of something Worldwide. It's just sad. Love supporting but I won't be buying anything from this Pledge.

First gig, Portsmouth, cancelled. Tix for the next gig in Bristol are ... £5.

So now you're moaning about the low price of tickets? Bloody hell.

no idea. Mind you, I'm not too sure about a few on here. Just assumed girls had better things to do with their time. Mrs FC certainly does, or so she tells me.
