C-c-c-cucumber - cobwebs

Postby redgumball » Fri Aug 02, 2013 12:20 am

Could someone drop some dyanmite in here with some rare tracks? Anything spectacular or still the same old stuff? Live shows and re-issues and crap albums since the re-formation?

I'd give a nut to hear The Golden Boot thingy mentioned on another thread. How about the Johnny Marr missing tracks? Anything of any substance? All bones been dug up? The Van Halen guy had some cool shit a while back.

WTF - is Proxy all about off the Fountain??? Christ!

Had to tune out and frankly it gets a bit hazy for me after Evergreen. Sat through Siberia and rather liked some tracks off Flowers. If you didn't drop off after the last album - then you like getting kicked in the balls.

Not much hope for a Youth produced album this year or next. Youth mixed that shite Holy Ghost. Which is straight geriatrics. Ian Mcculloch? Drug Free? Will Sargent rocking the Psychadelic Rock with Grandpa Les. I take it Will has had it with the whole mess. Christ!

Chris Adams still round? Dr. Cheese? C-c-c-cucumber - cobwebs.

I'm still here (occasionally). Pretty much given up on the Bunnymen these days though.

I'm up for some rare stuff. I'm not sure there's anything left though. With the countless re-issues it's weird that the Marr stuff has never surfaced other than some songs that were supposedly worked into Electrafixion songs and the Spice Girls song. Did they ever actually exist in recorded form? I'm starting to think it was another Mac tall tale.

Between Facebook and the fact that nothing much is going on with the Bunnymen except Poltergeist, there isn't much activity here right now. I haven't even bothered to keep the discography up to date since The Fountain came out. That Mac solo album was such a confusing release I didn't even know how to list it because I wasn't even sure when it was available. Additionally the Discogs.com section and the Wikipedia pages make most of my site obsolete now. The end times are near.

I have no immediate plans to turn this thing off but the next time the domain and hosting comes up for renewal I may just not do that. I think it just renewed a couple of months ago so it will be here at least into 2014. Or I may just renew it again. Who knows.

I know.... to keep things fresh ... lets vote on the best Bunnymen album cover...

;-)

only joking (obviously)....

It would be a shame not to be on a Bunnymen forum anymore as I have been on
one since Frank's in 1997....

FB and Twit are just not the same....

Let's hope it doesn't come to that.

There's no way around it. One of us is gonna have to make a sex tape with Mac and put it on the internet.
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

There's no penetration. Leave that soft core stuff for Cinemax.

Absolute-Absolution!

Well that sounds about right -- the cast of 8-10 who are dedicated and resolute.

What happened to the Van Halen + Bunnymen guy! He used to throw around some powerful boots?

I got some solid info on the Marr + Mcculloch sessions, from a writer guy I connected with on the forums pre-Flowers days. They're real for sure. I collected a bunch of Junk - mentions here and there on the web. The story plays out about the same - and most of you already know about. Probably 20% I hadn't heard before...

I used to run McCrank's Blog a while back too - dropped a few of my fatty boots and live shows there, once upon a time.

How come no mention of the Jack Daniels Sessions that Ian Mcculloch did? All those David Bowie covers and web commericals? Those seemed solid. I collected those up and created a 4 track.

Anyone heard of these rarities?

RE: The earlier comment about the re-packaged and the over-sold. Not concerned with the music for the masses. I am talking pirate gold. The stuff that Sargent Fuzz shells out the back door, top secret like. The hidden gems, not meant for human ears.

Anyone could cop a copy of Urgh!, Shine So Hard, Me I'm All Smiles or the re-furbished ilk. I am looking for your prized possessions, lads.

Shhhh under the cover of darkness, let's get out the cobwebs and shake out the gold - while no one is lurking about and the forums be silent.

Chris Adams - I know he's got the secrets....Dr. Cheese, I suspect you as well. The web guy for the Bunnymen site, Ivan - yes, lad he had the loot.
