A must have for all you budding Sergeantians

General discussion about the band, live shows, its recordings or bootlegs, etc. You can buy, sell or trade here. You can even post eBay links. If it's about the Bunnymen, it goes here.

To be fair, art is like that isn't it, most costs little to produce and the price is largely decided by a small number of buyers. Music, on the other hand, depends on a significantly larger number of unit sales be it tickets or records/cd/downloads so you can't really compare the two. Just saying.

You can compare because Will has been virtually doing the same thing for 30+ years so it 'should' be easier to convince your fans to follow.

Art on the otherhand is not easy. He went into a new venture, a lot don't take musicians turning as artists (painters) seriously and the cost is well higher and harder to flog than a £15 cd. I know because I was the one behind the LA Art Show.

interesting take on the rock music as art discussion. Key word is most I suppose. |My mate damien doesn't necessarily agree.

Image what did he say, its art because i say it is, or was thatsomeone else.

FC! I had the same piece in mind when reading the first part of your post including Damien's name.

Music/art fact: Damien designed 6 basses for Mani, some of which he uses in the current Stone Roses shows. I want to say that John's dot guitar is also by him but that wasn't confirmed in the convo.

It is really hard to compare the two in terms of production, too many factors are involved. Canvases can be quite costly which is why some artists make their own, add in your specials paints, framing, in addition to how many pieces never come to life because of errors, etc.

Dave, they've taken down your comments down from the photo where you listed the info on the guitar. In fact, they took everyone's posts off of it.

Have a feeling someone else is about to get robbed.

Are times really that bad?

Sorry VB. Feel free to start a more positive thread in a different link. If it happened to you, uberfan, you may feel the same under your own circumstances.

Hey Billy there hasn't been this much excitement round these parts since Mac got into that onstage tickle fight.
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

I saw that article over the weekend. Think I had to read the headline about three times before having a little laugh (finally).

The Teardrop guitar was quite nice. Jimmy Page is probably my favorite though so we would need 100 couches to find that kind of extra change.

The difference between this auction and the other is that one seller is Bonhams and the other is Laurel and Hardy. P/P are their own charity case.
