We know there is more to life than the music of the Bunnymen. Talk about those other bands here.

Kinda sorta. Website has been crashed since just about it was announced. It's been 20 some odd years...I can wait a few more days.
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

So far it sounds fantastic. I wonder if these songs are from the 1996-1997 era when they shelved a bunch of them.

Suppose it's time to work the google machine.

That's cool everyone. It's only the new My Bloody Valentine album. No big deal.

I've been listening to it on and off for a month.

The album varies from amazing to average. Some of the songs definitely have the feel of Loveless sessions/out takes. Some of them seem like newer stuff. I do wonder how much of the album was recorded by the band and how much is Shields studio work.

Incredible return after 20 odd years but still can't fully get my head round it.

Saw them live last week and they played 3 songs off the new album which sounding incredible.

Loveless is incredible but this new stuff just sounds dated noiseless shite with bilinda doing a smack head meets Mary poppins type singing.Bring back the true kings Slowdive...:)

My mate got the vinyl version, which sounds so so much better than the download. The sound Shields obviously wanted comes over much better IMHO.

If we had the space at home, and enough stuff was put out on it, I'd love to go back to records.

I got the vinyl but have to get new speakers for my stereo. The album is really good although not nearly as good as Loveless. Some of it actually sounds like songs that didn't make the cut for that album.

Some of it certainly has that feel.

Agreed that the it isn't loveless, and wont be nearly as influential, but its still a brilliant return after 20 years!! 25,000 vinyl sales is impressive these days so it must be selling well too.
