You know how they say 'They don't make them like they used to', well they do and here it is. Wirral's By the Sea's eponymously titled debut album is a rare thing of fragile beauty, just over half an hour of perfection. I'm only on my third listen but it's as if I've known this album for 25 years. A classic.

I had a quick listen to what's available on youtube and it sounds good, especially 'dream waters'. It's the best 'new' music I've heard in ages. I'm thinking of whether or not to splash out on their CD...
