I don't understand the compulsion to purchase the same old recordings just because they are re-released in a different colour or format, it really does baffle me. To me it just smacks of the record companies ripping off gullible fans.

Actually I will give a miss this time.

Thinking of selling my entire collection as a job lot.

Offers anyone?

Partly I guess, but is Record Store Day and release of ltd edition vinyls a bad thing when it is aiming to promote physical formats of music and the dying record shop (remember this limited run stuff will mostly be available in the 200 or so independent and small music shops in the UK on 20 April with any remaining copies available to buy online later)? This one, however, is a bit meh and is too expensive. Perhaps a 12" with a modern remixed version of the original The Killing Moon + the original all-night version on the flip side might have been better choice.

I'd rather sell my body than my Bunnymen collection, though the only takers would probably be in medical research.

I'm with cheesey - had a brif flirtation with completism a few years ago but got bored. I dont even know where the nearest real record shop is. I htink theres one in oxford, up the cowley road where all the studes, ex studes and crusties live.

Only thinking about selling it.

This will help me stop me collecting.

If I sold it it would be as a job lot as I would'nt want anything left hanging around.

Sold My Cope collection two years ago and to be honest I don't miss it.

At 48 yrs old I have a "bucket list" I'd rather invest both time and money in.
