oo i dunno, if he starts using that dont look down, down down lyric again I migth have a word or too to say about it, like, it was crap when you used it twenty odd years ago and its not any better now. maybe this is the ony way he can think of getting some publicity for his solo album. breath not held. so, you could live with one last really good album and then the end? hmmm. i'm in.

A killer final album with a tour to support it would be a great way to finish and go out on a high rather than just dwindling away supporting second rate bands and making the odd appearance at low rent festivals peforming a set that was old before Fred Flintstone got his first motor.

However I know for a fact the next album (if there really is one) will continue the trend of mid-tempo plod rock that Mac likes to peddle these days along with a dirge of a ballad that Mac will insist is the best thing he's ever written. Oh and the lyrics will either be a bit cringe-worthy or just plain shite and quite often both at the same time.

Actually, thinking about it. Nah. Hope Will says no to Mac, not until say 2015. Seems a bit stupid to record a decent album as another band, go promoting it, release it on a label months later to then promote it again, before saying bugger off to Les and Poltergeist late 2013 and into 2014, myself and Nick are going off with Mac to record and then promote another Bunnymen album no doubt worldwide (even if it doesn't sell very well). Do we have a petition for this kind of thing to sign to stop it from happening?

i like the bunnymen, i like all of their albums and most of mac's solo albums. if they release an album i'll buy it and give it a fair chance. if it is crap then the next time they release an album i'll do the same. they have earnt the right to be given a fair shake. i don't find the general apathy of this website conducive to anything other than some place to visit when the bars are closed...

Don't forget about the great lyrics that will most assuredly be on the new album.

What is this - the 5th new Bunnymen album that returns "to the classic sound"? Enough lies! Someone get Mac his old man medicine STAT!

I think that started with Flowers and continued with Siberia and that's why we are all jaded now. I can't imagine that The Fountain was promised as such. We should all vote on which Mac solo B-side lyrics he will recycle!

Please let us be wrong. Please?

That would be a tough one! Could be any and all.

I'm to the point where I'm not expecting a great album at all but yet even after a good deal of disappointment I still find myself somewhat excited to hear it nonetheless. Yes, I know it'll probably be mediocre but I can't help it.
