And Will Sergeant was heard to say "What a relief, no one asking 'Have you got any Questions' or somebody shouting, moaning, shouting and then having a Paddy"

P.s. the last bits a cultural reference which even the French should get!

Went to the show in Liverpool last night. I've only listened to the album through a laptop so far and hearing it live in a venue that size was fantastic with the visuals perfectly crafted for the music. Great so see Will and Les back onstage together, they sounded superb and Nick on drums was a revelation, the material can't be the easiest to drum to but he was magnificent. Hopefully they'll play around this way in June when the album tour gets going. Off to Ebay now to look for a white parka.

Oh, and the dancing pig is a star.

We are getting the album a world wide release though Proper Records on the 17th of June so thats pretty cool. We will be doing lots more gigs in the future and are hoping to get on the bills of some of the summer festivals, fingers crossed.

Nowhere, still been lurking on here just haven't posted for, what, three months. I was unable to make last Thursday's gig in London but certainly will go in June as it seems they are planning further dates in addition to the rescheduled ones.

A very good night - I agree the dancing pig was slightly disturbing, support band were surprisingly good. It was strange being in such a small place and wondering if any of the people there were you from VT. Really annoying couple of young women behind us just talked throughout, they obviously had no idea who they were there to see

Liverpool and London shows were both great but the London crowd were surprisingly more vocal calling out Good to have you back Les and suchlike.....

I just heard The Book of Pleasures, SO good. Very cool. I'm not a big fan of the other 3 songs I've heard, though. I'm really curious how the rest of the album sounds.

I assume you mean Cathedral, Your Mind Is A Box and Lune Deeps as the tracks you have heard. I like those personally. All of it is cool though and of similar standard to The Book of Pleasures. Dreamer Dreams of Spectrums, all 7:54 minutes of it, is probably my favourite track on the whole album. Don't know who that sounds like at all. I like Dawn Visits The Garden of Evil too, which does sound like a Bunnymen MkII track (without a vocalist, obviously). Dunno, I find First Sign of the Plague a bit more of a filler and Psychic Warfare gets a little monotonous (it's nearly ten minutes long!). Been playing the album A LOT and might get the vinyl version in June, but I do skip past some of the tracks sometimes. I think Dave was right that they haven't really pushed out any boundaries in terms of sound (like Will using the same effects pedals as he always does), but I think it's a great album. Get a copy Mr Sparkle if you can.

Thanks for the thoughts on the album, guitarplayer. I'm definitely going to buy it, I'd like to get in on vinyl. I tried downloading/pledging the album last night but I guess pledging is closed? Weird. I guess I'll just wait until June to get it. I actually liked the 4th song not sure what the title of it is, though, pretty long song.

Ghostie, I love First Signs Of The Plague, it was the stand out for me in the live show too. I love the the couple of times it changes pace, a bit like Porcupine does. Then it all leads up to Will going mental at the end.
