Got it on the pod so will sear my brains with guitar wig outs whilst I'm doing it, though I can think of another word beginning with W that might describe it. After filling my mind with wonder, I might then relax and try filling it with something resembling a tune. lols.

no no no.... you are making assumptions.... it has it's tuneful moments and hooks to get
you ...erm..... hooked.... more so than other Will (non bunnymen) stuff and it is great to hear the Les bass
underpinning the tunes and the drumming is interesting too.... listened to it a few more times since last commenting and I think everyone should give it a listen before dismissing it.
I think it is more exciting than other Will stuff (which I like for other reasons)....

This album sounds fantastic. It is great to hear Will and Les working together again. The guitars scream and the bass thumps throughout. Love it.

I'm really enjoying it, some of the tracks are faster then I'd expected, great stuff. Not sure about 'exciting', I got excited once a few years back and it's highly overrated, never again.

though i spose you're right in that there are bits of tunes in there but in eschewing the formal verse chorus verse chorus guitar wig-out chorus chorus fade, traditional song construct, I, as a boring old git, may not be concentrating that much, and in many ways its not a million miles from the meandering glide stuff, which I quite like. At the moment its doing a fairly good job accompanying the builders who are making a racket with their buildery equipment (hammers, drills and suchlike). Not asure why I decided to 'work at home' on such a day. DDoS sounds a bit like the cure in places.

yeah smiffy, stick that in your pipe and smoke it. If it resembles anything its curvature of the earth. the album that is, not the actual curvature of our planet. liking psychic warfare most at the mo i think. do you think the gigs are going to involve those oil wheel projections and stuff|?

by exciting I mean it is faster paced with a more driving beat and more dynamic bits but
if you can't handle the 'excitement' then don't go to the gigs as it might just push you over the edge VB ! :)

sorry fc ..... got carried away with trying to save you from dismissing it on the basis that
it was the same sort of tuneless experimental stuff....

as a colleague of mine always says, there's no need for sorrow. Having once attempted to listen to that last 'experimental' track on 'performance', i.e. that 30 minute drone done in some random software package, I'd say its not even close, experimental wise. Quite like the noodly bits, repetitive guitar riffery not so much. But if my mind is a box, its at least half open. Either way I take your point. Are you going to the london gig? Considering it.

I have the Rammstein box set if you catch my drift!
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts
