They told me yesterday that it holds 300.

I've told the Mrs not to speak during the gig otherwise Mac will shout at her and now she's terrified.

Really good set by Mac and Gordy in front of an enthusiastic audience. Only complaint is that it was too short. They took to the stage at 9.30 and by 10.40 they had done the encore and were off.

Off the top of my head the set list, in no particular order, was :
rescue
Villiers terrace
stars are stars
the disease
zimbo
bedbugs and ballyhoo
seven seas
killing moon
nothing ever lasts forever
lips like sugar
the fountain
rust
bring on the dancing horses
sorrow
i'm waiting for my man
pro patria mori

Overall, a really good gig, but it could have been another 20 minutes longer. It cost the same as the last bunnymen xmas gig (£18.50) but it was quite a bit shorter. I'd still go again though.

Yeah, best I've seen Mac sound and look for ages. Was he drinking fruit juice on stage or milk? Looked like it. He's lost weight and seemed calmer.

Agree re set length but considering the noise coming from the back of the venue I'm surprised there wasn't a walk off/kick off.

3 highlights for me were Seven Seas and stars are stars which I'd not heard live acoustically before and a scouse women marching up to a load of wools making a row at the back and snarling 'shut the fuck up you twats' to stunned faces all round!

It looked like goat's milk or something.

Without wanting to sound like a miserable sod, I agree, there was a bit too much noise going on for that type of thing. A lot of people were pissed- quite good natured but pissed nonetheless and so many people being pissed means a boisterous crowd which is fine on most occasions but not really an acoustic set. I was surprised Mac didn't complain more about it, I think he only mentioned it once, but he just seemed resigned to it and got on with it.

If you pay to see Mac you wanna see Mac songs.

A few Bunnymen tracks thrown in are nice , but in my opinion too many Bunny songs on this Set List with only one Mac song.

Ok it could be argued they are all Mac songs, or is it he just does not have the faith in his solo stuff ?

But it is nice to here the Bunnymen songs stripped down .
